Founders meet funders
We are a bunch of people who love the Powai Lake in Bombay. Some of us live on the southern bank of the lake and enjoy the view from our apartments every day. Many of us just hang around in the cafes around the lake, sipping a cold beer while soaking in the warm breeze.
We love to meet founders who build companies from their hostel rooms on the northern bank of the lake. When we like them, we fund them. That makes us the funders.

You are a team, you have an idea and now you have started up. You believe you are building the next thousand crore company. If you think we could help you with funds, please ping us. Aromas and Mangii have decent coffee (or beer) and the drinks are on us.
Don't send us any business plans or PowerPoints. Just write a short note about (a) your team (b) the market (c) the problem and your solution (d) and your right to win and send it to coffee@powailakeventures.com. We read every email but can't promise a reply to each one.

Every time we find a startup we love, a bunch of us come together to back it and then enjoy the roller-coaster ride (how cliché!) that follows. When we win, we drive home a Porsche. When we lose, we invest double in the next startup. The minimums are low. And we make sure we have the insider scoop on the startups.
